In the unlikely event that there are issues with your order, here are our terms and conditions of sale. Placing an order is deemed to be acceptance of these terms:
Limitation of Liability: Australian Chess Supplies (ABN 26 453 374 594) shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or the performance of the products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation of exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Typographical Errors: In the event that a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price on this site, we reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Australian Chess Supplies reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Australian Chess Supplies shall issue a credit to your credit card or paypal account the amount of the incorrect price.
Goods In Transit: Any claim for damage in transit or for goods being defective must be made within 3 days of receipt of the goods. Requests for couriers to leave goods in an unsecured location will invalidate any insurance claim for loss of goods.
All goods remain the property of Australian Chess Supplies until paid for in full.
1) Goods damaged or faulty: The Customer must inspect the goods immediately upon delivery and in all cases must inform Australian Chess Supplies in writing ( email is acceptable) within 3 days of delivery of any damage, shortages or non-delivery of the goods. Goods received damaged or faulty may be returned for replacement. We will refund the cost of return postage using standard post. Please contact us in advance for advice on the best procedure.
2) Goods not damaged or faulty (eg Change of mind): Should you change your mind, we may consider providing a refund or exchange. We reserve the right to levy a 15% re-stocking fee (minimum $10). Upon approval to return, goods must be sent back within 14 days. Any such returned goods must be unused and in perfect condition, including any packaging, instruction manuals etc. for a refund to be processed (less re-stocking fee). The cost of both the outgoing and return postage must be met by the customer. Refunds will be made within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods safely.
This policy does not apply to sealed items, specifically software, playing cards, and DVDs
3) Exceptions – Software and DVD Videos: Sealed software products and video DVDs may not be returned once they have been opened by the customer. This is to help prevent software/video piracy. It is your responsibility to make sure that your operating equipment is compatible with the relevant software or video DVD before purchasing and that software purchased is functionally adequate for your needs.
